Whatever you do, do it well. - Walt Disney
My Career Goals
One of my long-term career goals is to work as an HR Manager at Disney. Disney has always embodied a sense of magic and wonder, but it also stands as a global leader in creating strong company cultures and focusing on employee satisfaction. I’ve always admired the company’s commitment to inclusivity, creativity, and innovation, which aligns perfectly with my professional values. Having experienced Disney’s environment firsthand through the College Program, I was impressed by the emphasis on teamwork, employee development, and making a positive impact on both customers and employees. Working for Disney would allow me to combine my passion for HR with my enthusiasm for creating joy. As a manager, I envision inspiring teams, leading by example, creating an environment where employees feel empowered, and fostering a culture that mirrors the company's commitment to its workforce.
Ultimately, I want to contribute to the magic by making people happy at work, and in turn, this translates to employees who feel appreciated, motivated, and inspired to perform at their best. Disney’s global reputation for fostering talent and creating a workplace where people thrive is exactly the kind of environment where I want to grow, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to this culture, especially in a role that supports employee relations and organizational development.
What I do
(and do well)
Leadership
I have gained significant leadership experience through my roles in various student organizations, such as founding and serving as Secretary for the Fresh Club and Vice President of Spiritual Beings. I believe in leading by example, demonstrating both a strong work ethic and a commitment to helping others succeed. My leadership style is based on motivating and inspiring others, while also providing support and guidance when needed. I aim to create an environment where team members feel empowered to contribute their ideas and take initiative. I focus on fostering an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, which encourages open communication and shared success.
Teamwork
I thrive in collaborative settings, where diverse ideas and skills can come together to achieve common goals. My ability to work well with others, listen to different perspectives, and contribute positively to group dynamics makes me an effective team player. I enjoy being part of a team because it allows me to learn from others while also sharing my own strengths and insights. I’m adaptable and willing to take on various roles within a team, whether that means leading a project, supporting my colleagues, or helping to solve problems. I believe that the best results come from collective effort, and I am always eager to contribute to a team’s success.
Empathy
Empathy is one of my most defining strengths. I have the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, which helps me connect with people on a deeper level. This skill allows me to navigate sensitive situations with care and consideration, which is especially important in HR, where understanding the emotions and perspectives of employees is vital to providing effective support. My empathetic nature helps me foster trust and openness, making it easier to collaborate and resolve conflicts in a way that respects everyone’s needs. I’m always willing to offer a listening ear and provide support when others need it most.
Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is one of my core strengths, enabling me to understand and manage my emotions and those of others. This allows me to navigate interpersonal dynamics with empathy and self-awareness, making me effective in both communication and conflict resolution. My ability to recognize non-verbal cues and respond appropriately helps me build trust and provide support in professional settings. Additionally, my self-regulation enables me to remain calm and focused, especially in high-pressure situations. Overall, my high EQ helps me foster positive relationships, collaborate effectively, and create a supportive environment in both personal and professional contexts.
Interpersonal Relationships
I have a natural ability to build and nurture strong, meaningful connections with others. Whether it’s with colleagues, friends, or peers, I’m skilled at understanding different perspectives and creating environments where people feel valued and understood. My strong interpersonal skills enable me to quickly develop trust and rapport with others, allowing me to navigate diverse social situations with ease. This ability to foster positive relationships is particularly valuable in HR, where connecting with employees and understanding their needs is essential for creating a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Communication
Effective communication is one of my core strengths, whether I’m speaking to a group, participating in one-on-one discussions, or writing. I am skilled at conveying my thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, ensuring that diverse audiences understand my message. In both professional and personal settings, I ensure that I listen actively, ask the right questions, and respond thoughtfully. This ability to communicate effectively enhances collaboration, conflict resolution, and relationship-building. It also enables me to advocate for others, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.
My skills in interpersonal relationships, leadership, communication, empathy, teamwork, and emotional intelligence are essential building blocks for success as an HR Manager. My ability to connect with employees and build trust fosters a positive work environment, while my leadership skills help guide teams and implement HR strategies. I can communicate effectively, ensuring clarity in policies and resolving concerns, while empathy allows me to understand and support employees. My teamwork skills enable me to collaborate across departments to achieve HR goals, and my emotional intelligence helps me handle sensitive situations with care and thoughtfulness. Together, these puzzle pieces position me to create an inclusive, supportive, and effective workplace.

My Personality Type
As a Campaigner (ENFP-T), I am a creative, enthusiastic, and empathetic individual who thrives in environments that allow for spontaneity and personal growth. I deeply resonate with my ENFP traits, especially my strong desire to help others and my natural ability to connect with people on an emotional level. I approach challenges with optimism and an open mind, making me an out-of-the-box thinker who enjoys finding innovative solutions to problems. My leadership experience, both through my roles in college clubs and my passion for HR, has allowed me to inspire and motivate teams. This ability to foster collaboration and growth in others is a key strength that I bring to any role.
I'm driven by my values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and I'm always eager to step outside my comfort zone to create supportive and inclusive environments. Whether it's through work at part-time locations, my Disney College Program experience, or the various leadership roles I've taken on, I've honed my ability to connect with diverse groups of people, understanding their unique perspectives, and advocate for positive change. I genuinely believe in the power of communication and empathy to foster collaboration and improve work environments, which is why HR feels like such a natural career path for me.
Although I excel in creativity and flexibility, my preference for variety can sometimes clash with individuals who value structure, routine, and predictability. I've learned that to work effectively with more detail-oriented and organized personalities, such as ISTJs and INTJs, I need to refine my time management skills, focus on conflict resolution, and embrace more mindfulness in decision-making. Balancing my spontaneity with structure is an ongoing goal, and I'm excited about the growth opportunities in these areas while leveraging my strengths in HR and leadership.
Ultimately, my ENFP personality allows me to bring passion and energy to everything I do. I aim to continue developing my skills in HR while embracing my strengths in creativity, empathy, and leadership so I can help organizations thrive and foster work environments where employees feel empowered, valued, and motivated.
